The Pella Christian Grade School and Pella Christian High School Boards have announced that Harlan De Vries will lead as interim Head of Schools at Pella Christian Schools for the 2021/2022 school year. De Vries has over 45 years of Christian education leadership experience including roles in Hanford, California; Edgerton, Minnesota; Sioux Center, Hull, Orange City and Sully, Iowa. De Vries’ position is a partnership with the Center for the Advancement of Christian Education (CACE). De Vries will begin the interim Head of Schools role on July 1.

When not at school, De Vries serves as a substitute bus driver for the local schools, drives a truck on a part-time basis, and helps on the family farm.

The announcement comes after Kevin Herdegen was named the new principal at Pella Christian High School and Ben Dirksen was selected as the new principal at Pella Christian Grade School.
