Simpson softball pitcher was awarded with the American Rivers Conference Pitcher of the Week award after her performance against Buena Vista over the weekend the league announced Monday.

Richmond went 2-0 in the circle, holding BV to zero earned runs in 11 innings and just a .154 batting average as the Storm went 3-0 to earn the sweep and tie for first in the conference standings.The Pitcher of the Week honor is the first of Richmond’s career.
