With Jim Crozier sidelined recovering from bypass surgery, Melcher-Dallas interim golf coach Adam Wadley looks for his team to start off the season strong.
This is Wadley’s first high school coaching job, but he started golfing when he was a kid. He looks forward to getting familiar with his team in the next couple of weeks before their first meets of the season.
“Being new at this and with a new set of kids, looking to do some one-on-one analysis, figuring out everyone’s skill set. There are always some kids looking to work on the basics, and there are kids that have been golfing for a few years, and make them even better and more competitive.”
Wadley also states that he is looking to emphasize the importance of hitting the ball straight on the fairway. Melcher-Dallas’ girls’ first meet is April 9 when they travel to Moravia, and the boys’ first meet is April 13, when they have a meet with Marion County foe Pleasantville.
