Indianola Municipal Utilities is holding an information session, “Understanding Your Utility Bill” on Wednesday. The meeting will address information contained in the utility bills, IMU and City of Indianola rates, and ways residents can monitor and manage their usage.
IMU General Manager Chris DesPlanques said in a statement:
“In addition to nationwide increased demand for residential power and water during the COVID shutdowns, this has been a record cold winter. One or both factors have affected many Indianola residents’ utility bills. This information session will hopefully help our customers both understand why their bills were higher and feel empowered about managing them should we see another extreme season – whether that’s a crazy cold winter or burning hot summer.”
The meeting will be held at Indianola City Hall from 6-7pm on Wednesday, March 31st. The session is open to the public and there will be time set aside for questions and answers.
