The Pleasantville Christian Church held a groundbreaking ceremony and time capsule reveal Tuesday on the one-year anniversary of the building being destroyed by a fire. Inside the time capsule was old church information, a list of deacons, a 1900 coin, old newspapers, Indian head coin, list of elders, and more.

Pastor Donald Naftz tells KNIA/KRLS News that the church building is expected to be completed in mid to late October, and that monetary donations are being accepted. Contributions can be made to the Ressurection Fund at People’s Bank, or by mailing checks to the church office.
