Freedom For Youth Knoxville is fundraising by hosting a Freedom Fun Walk at Marion County Park. Community Development Coordinator Angie Gentry says it will be a one-mile route with activities along the way.
“We have chosen to do a Freedom Fun Walk as an annual fundraiser. This is our first year doing it. The route is approximately a mile long, and you can show up anytime from 9 to noon. Along the route, we have all sorts of fun activities to participate in and get completion tokens. Your registration fee includes participation in all of that, as well as a t-shirt.”
The event is Saturday, May 8th, and costs $16 per person. Group rates are available for groups of six or more. The price increases to $20 on April 15th. The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio will be there to play music and make announcements.
