The Central College men’s outdoor track and field team entered the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association Division III ratings index at No. 25 Tuesday. Points in the National Team Rating Index are based on placement in the National Descending Order Lists.

After making its outdoor debut, Central has two athletes in the top five of their respective events and three more marks inside the top 20. Brock Lewis is No. 4 in the long jump (23 feet, 3.5 inches) and Joe Stein is No. 4 in the 100-meter dash (10.70 seconds). Brock Lewis is also No. 13 in the triple jump (46-1.5) while high jumpers Drake Lewis and Sam Beatty are No. 15 at 6-5.5.

The majority of Central’s squad is headed to the Spartan Invitational hosted by the University of Dubuque Friday and Saturday. A small group of mid-distance runners are headed to the Wartburg Select Open in Waverly on Saturday.
