The Knoxville City Council held goal setting work sessions in March, and has released a report detailing future plans. Interim City Manager Heather Ussery explains that committees have been formed and will meet quarterly to discuss improvement of city affairs.
“In March, the Council held two action planning sessions with department heads. We talked about what we would like to see in the next two years. The outcome of that was the goal setting report, and it walks through the sessions and the conversations. We also had committees that were organized and tasks that each committee would work toward completing over the next two years. Now that that’s approved, the committees can now start meeting. They’ll meet quarterly and report to City Council on how they’re progressing through those tasks over the next couple of years.”
Work teams include Community Involvement & Beautification, Quality of Life, Economic Development, and Administrative/Organizational. View the report in its entirety here.
