Panthers Tennis Teams Sweep Centerville
The Knoxville Boys and Girls Tennis Squads beat Centerville on Tuesday. The Panthers and Big Reds made up their rained out meets from last week with the girls winning 8-1. Olivia Masdaam, Josalin McKeever, Alyssa Vaske, Jayden Streigle, and Laila Tiller won singles matches. The Panthers swept the doubles matches. Coach Nick DeMoss tells KNIA/KRLS Sports they want to win as many duals as they can, even against the teams that may outnumber them in size.

DeMoss:
“We’re playing a lot of those teams that get 40-50 girls out and we have 12 out. So when you have 40-50 go out, you’re going to get a lot of those freshmen playing against girls who have a couple of years experience on them.”

On the boys side, it was a complete sweep for the Panthers with a 9-0 won over Centerville. Gabe Matthais, Carter Short, Jaxson Zuck, Andy Orr, Nate Crane, and Grant Liston picked up singles wins.
