The Knoxville School Board approved a three-year agreement with Knoxville Area Community Theatre at its meeting Monday. Superintendent Cassi Pearson says this agreement will provide learning experiences in the fine arts.

“In exchange for them getting to use KPAC, which is a beautiful facility, they provide some wonderful services for our students. Next summer, they’ll put together a camp for younger kids. In the winter season, between our sports, they provide a camp for our middle school kids. It’s a great opportunity for our students to learn about stage productions and all that goes into those, and a chance to act. Oftentimes, they have several of our students who are in their main productions in the fall and spring.”

This agreement is in effect through June 30th, 2024. Hear a recap of Monday’s school board meeting on today’s Let’s Talk Knoxville.
