As fiber is placed in the ground along city streets and connections are made to homes and businesses, the City of Pella is thanking residents for their support of the municipal project.

Pella Fiber will have customers with internet service in the next few months, with the goal of connecting hundreds to gigabit speeds through a public utility by the end of the year.

Keetah Dotson with Pella Fiber says the investment potential customers are making by signing up for pre-registrations and later for service, allows the utility to invest in more robust infrastructure for the community and additional amenities. As of this week, 3150 households and businesses have signed up for service.
