PCM Boys Golf Finishes 3rd At Granger
PCM’s boys’ golf team finished third in their meet at Jester Park in Granger with a score of 359, finishing behind the Des Moines Christian and Panorama.
The Mustangs finished seven strokes ahead of Greene County and 13 strokes behind Panorama. PCM’s low golfer was Andrew Mitchell, who shot an 85 overall, which was good for third individually. Grant Van Veen finished as the second-lowest golfer for the Mustangs with a score of 89.
PCM’s next meet will be Monday when they travel to State Center for a meet with Lincoln Valley. The meet will begin at 2:00 PM.
PCM Girls Track Sets Season Bests at Guthrie Center
PCM’s girls’ track team had a few personal season-best times in their meet at Guthrie Center Thursday night.
Margo Chipps set two season bests in the 100 meter and 400 meter hurdles with times of 16.30 and 1:08.94. Also in the 100 meter dash, Madox Devault set a personal season-best with a time of 17.05 seconds. Delany Bird finished with a season-best in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:16.39. The final season-best that was set was in the 4×100 meter shuttle hurdle, where they finished with a time of 1:10.36, good enough for second in the meet.
PCM will be back in action for a meet at Gilbert Monday. The meet will begin at 4:30 PM.
PCM Boys Track Finish Eighth at Saydel
PCM’s boys’ track team finished tied for eighth with conference foe Nevada in their meet at Saydel with a total of 39 points.
The Mustangs had two top-two finishes in the meet, which were in one individual and one team event. Landon Fenton finished second in the 400 meter rush. PCM as a team finished second in the 800 Meter Sprint Medley.

PCM Soccer Loses to Central Iowa United
PCM Soccer team’s early-season struggles continue as they fall to Central Iowa United at Collins-Maxwell 5-2.
The loss drops PCM to 1-4 on the season, with their only win coming at Atlantic last Friday. This is the Mustangs’ second time they have lost consecutive games this season. PCM lost their conference opener to Nevada 10-0 Tuesday night.
PCM will be back in action for a match with fellow Marion County opponent Knoxville Monday. The match will begin at 7:30 PM.
