The Simpson men’s and women’s track and field teams were at William Penn University Friday, with several top finishers. On the women’s side, Audrey Arnold placed 2nd in the 100 hurdles and 3rd in the long jump, Abby Loecke 3rd in the 800m, Jamie Glanz got gold in the javelin throw and 3rd in the high jump, and the 4×400 relay team placed 2nd. The men were led by Craig Garrison placing 3rd in the 200m, Ryan Courtney 3rd in the Steeplechase, Mason Spree 3rd in the hammer throw, Carter Berkey 2nd in the long jump, and the 4×400 relay placed 3rd.

The Storm men’s tennis team took down Morningside 5-2 Friday afternoon, getting wins from Aaron Price, Peter Walkwitz, Ethan Humble, and Brett Dewerff in singles play, and the teams of Reade Reiter/Brett Dewerff and Peter Walkwitz/Ethan Humble in doubles action.

The Simpson women’s tennis team took down rival Central in Pella Friday afternoon 6-3. Picking up wins in singles play for the Storm included Anna Wanek, Emily King, Megan Grubb, Donni Kinghorn, and Aubrey Ocheltree while Wanek and King teamed up for the doubles victory.
