Pleasantville Girls Golf Has Home Triangular With Knoxville and Pella, Boys Golf Travels to Chariton
Both of Pleasantville’s golf teams will be in action Monday as the girls have a home triangular with fellow Marion County foes Knoxville and Pella, while the boys travel to Chariton for a matchup with the host and Centerville.
The Trojans’ girls are coming off finishing second in a meet for the first time this season, finishing ahead of Melcher-Dallas but behind Carlisle. The low scorer of the meet for Pleasantville was Kristen Roe, who scored a 53.
Pleasantville’s boys will hope to continue gaining valuable experience after winning their last meet, which was a quadrangular with Melcher-Dallas, Martensdale-St. Mary’s, and Southeast Warren. The Trojans’ low golfer of the meet was freshman Carter Metcalf with a score of 47.
The Trojans’ girls’ meet is scheduled to begin at the Pleasantville Golf and Country Club at 4:00 PM; Pleasantville’s boys meet will begin at the Lake View Golf and Country Club at Chariton at 4:15 PM.
Pleasantville Travels to Van Meter For Next Coed Track Meet
Both of Pleasantville’s track teams will go on the road once again for their next meet, which will be at conference opponent Van Meter Monday.
A total of 14 other schools will be competing in this meet, including six conference opponents. The conference opponents Pleasantville will be competing with include the host, Des Moines Christian, Interstate-35, Panorama, West Central Valley, and Woodward Academy. The Trojans’ girls are coming off finishing fifth in their last meet at Central Decatur, while the boys finished 15th in their last meet at Saydel.
The meet will begin at Van Meter High School at 4:30 PM.
