The Pella Christian soccer teams were competitive but ultimately both fell to Grinnell Tuesday night. On Eagle Lane, it was 2-0 in favor of the road team Tigers, while the Eagles girls dropped a 3-1 contest in Grinnell. Senior Katherine Wielard scored her second goal of the season in a match where the Tigers had 14 shots on goal compared to P.C.’s five. Pella Christian’s girls hit the road to Chariton for non-conference action Thursday, while the Eagles boys will host a JV-heavy matchup with Sigourney that evening.
