Pella Boys, Girls Soccer Teams Dominate Oskaloosa
Both ranked No. 6 in Class 2A, the Pella boys and girls soccer teams dominated Oskaloosa, with the Dutch boys 4-0 winners and the girls 9-0 victors Tuesday.
At home, the Lady Dutch opened the faucet on an offense that had struggled to find consistent traction. Freshman Abby Warner scored five goals in the effort, and says she enjoyed watching the team find the back of the net and pull away early.
Faith Diers, Macy Schulz, Camille Dixson, and Erin Nossaman rounded out the scoring. Pella’s girls are 6-2 and host No. 9 in 1A Nevada Thursday at the City Soccer Complex.
A quiet first half turned into a second-half scoring rush in Oskaloosa, as the Pella boys found goals from Isaac Semini, Ike Held, Preston Rowe, and Levi Van Dusseldorp, all in the final 26 minutes, while the Pella boys are 10-2 and host ADM and Hudson for a home tournament Saturday morning at 9 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.
