Pleasantville Girls Golf Finish First, Boys Second in Conference Triangular

Both of Pleasantville’s golf squads competed in a West Central Conference triangular and the girls finished first while the boys finished second.

The Trojans’ girls edged out a first-place finish with a score of 205, one stroke less than second-place Panorama. Pleasantville’s lowest golfer of the night was Kristen Roe with a score of 47, good enough for second individually. The second-lowest golfer for Pleasantville was Breanna Benge with a 49.

Pleasantville’s boys finished with a score of 181, good enough for second place overall. The Trojans finished nine strokes ahead of third-place Ogden and 21 strokes behind first-place Panorama. Pleasantville’s low scorer of the night was Carter Ollom with a 40. Second place for the Trojans was Larry Remster, who scored a 45.

Both squads will be back in action Thursday as the girls will have a home meet at 2 PM. The boys will travel to the Preserve on Rathbun Lake in Moravia for a tournament, which will start at 10 AM.

Pleasantville Boys Track Finish 12th in Meet at Mount Ayr

At the Raider Relays in Mount Ayr, Pleasantville’s boys track squad finished 12th out of 19 teams with a score of 45 points.

Pleasantville got two top-three finishes in individual events Tuesday, both of them coming from Matthew Kauffman. Kauffman finished third in both the shot put and the discus. His length in the shot put was 42’6.5”. Kauffman’s length in the discus was 111’1”.

Pleasantville will be back in action for a meet at PCM Thursday. The meet will begin at 4:30 PM.
