PCM Boys Golf Finish Second in State Center

No. 7 in Class 2A PCM’s boys golf team had another strong showing, finishing second in their tournament at State Center with a total score of 169.

The Mustangs’ second-place finish was one stroke off of the tournament winner, Boone. PCM had three golfers finish with a score of 45 or less. No. 12 Gatlin Boell and No. 19 Andrew Mitchell tied for the lowest score of the meet with a 40, two strokes off from the first-place finisher. PCM’s other golfer that scored lower than a 45 was Brian Nicholson, who scored a 44.

The Mustangs’ next meet of the season will be this Saturday when they travel to Pine Knolls in Knoxville. The meet will begin at 9 AM.

PCM Girls Golf Finish Seventh at West Marshall, Has Home Tournament

PCM’s girls golf team finished seventh in their tournament Wednesday at West Marshall with a team score of 269.

The Mustangs’ low golfer of the meet was Riley Johannes, who scored a 59. Second on the team in scoring was Eleigh Davis with a 60. Tori Peterson and Deanna McHargue had scores of 72 and 78, respectively to round out the score for PCM.

PCM’s next meet will be today, when they have their lone home tournament of the season at the Gateway Recreation Center in Monroe. The meet will begin today at 1 P.M.

PCM Girls Track Back on Road For Meet at Carlisle

After finishing on top of their final home meet of the season, PCM’s girls track squad will go on the road for their next meet at Carlisle.

The Mustangs won their last meet thanks to a total of six first-place finishes in the meet, including four individual and two team events. Chelsea Bird, Margo Chipps, Paige Steenhoek, and Celeste Wagaman all finished first place in their respective events. PCM also finished first in the 4×100 meter Junior Varsity relay and the 4×100 meter shuttle hurdle relay.

The meet will begin at Carlisle at 4:30 PM.

PCM Boys Track Has Final Home Meet of Season

PCM’s boys track team will be back on their home track for their final home meet of the 2021 season.

The Mustangs are coming off finishing second in the Rocket Relays at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Monday with a total of 147 points. PCM had an impressive showing in the meet, including nine top-two finishes. The Mustangs had four first-place finishes, five second-place finishes, and one third-place finish.

The meet will begin at PCM High School at 4:30 PM.
