The Norwalk girls track & field team placed second at the Carlisle Girls Wildcat Classic Thursday with 89 team points. Sophomore Claire Farrell set new school records in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.18 and the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.79. She says the records are a product of her hard work.
Other top finishers included:

Marin Randall – 2nd in Long Jump
2nd in 4x800M Relay
The boys track & field team took 2nd at Bondurant-Farrar 167 team points. Top finishers included:
Ethan Carlson – 2nd in 400M Dash
Grant Miller – 1st in 110M Hurdles
Chase McKinney – 2nd in 110M Hurdles
Donovan Card – 2nd in 3200M Run
Carter Bunch – 1st in Shot Put
1st in 4x100M Relay
2nd in 4x400M Relay
2nd in 4x800M Relay
2nd in 800 Sprint Medley Relay
1st in 1600 Distance Medley Relay
Both Warrior track & field teams are back in action Tuesday when they host the Little Hawkeye Conference meet.
The girls tennis team hosted Pella Christian, falling 6-5. Singles wins came from Kelsey Dammeier, Ava Johnson, Samantha Aagard, and Charlee Peters. The doubles team of Dehmer/Livingston was the only doubles win. Norwalk returns to action Saturday, hosting a triangular with Creston and Shenandoah.
The boys soccer team got back in the win column at Des Moines Lincoln, but it wasn’t easy. The teams went into penalty kicks scoreless, and the Warriors edged the Railsplitters 5-4 in PK’s. Norwalk moves to 6-6 overall and returns to conference play Monday, hosting Grinnell.
