Melcher-Dallas Girls Golf Finish Fourth at Triangular

Melcher-Dallas’ girls golf team finished fourth in a quadrangular with Pleasantville, North Polk, and Carlisle, with a score of 547.

The Saints had three golfers compete in the meet, and all athletes finished with a 150 or lower. Kynser Reed led the way for Melcher-Dallas, finishing with a 104, good enough for fifth overall. Kasyn Reed was second for the Saints with a score of 119. Emma Haeberlin rounded out the scoring with a 144.

Melcher-Dallas’ next meet will be Monday, when they travel to Mormon Trail. The meet will begin at 4:00 PM.

Melcher-Dallas Girls Track Finish 11th @ Clarke, Boys Track Finish 6th @ PCM, Quick Turnaround to Cardinal

Both of Melcher-Dallas’ track teams competed at separate locations at the Saints’ boys finished sixth at PCM while the girls finished 11th overall at Clarke.

The Saints’ boys had one top-three finish in the meet, finishing with a total of 41 points. Melcher-Dallas finished ahead of Wayne. The Saints’ top-three finish came in the 4×110 meter shuttle hurdle, which was run by Gabe Enfield, Owen Suntken, and Steven and Ryan Krpan.

Melcher-Dallas’ girls finished with 39 points, finishing ahead of Southeast Warren and Mormon Trail. The Saints had three top-two finishes from a couple of familiar faces. J’Lyn finished first in both the 1500 and 3000 meter runs and Grace Overgaard finished second in the discus with a length of 108’7.5”.

Both teams will be back in action for a meet at Cardinal today. The meet will begin at 4:30 PM.

Melcher-Dallas Boys Golf Preview at Pleasantville

Melcher-Dallas’ boys golf team will compete at the Pleasantville Golf and Country Club for their next meet today.

The Saints are coming finishing on the wrong end of their dual meet at Lamoni Wednesday. Melcher-Dallas will hope to continue to make improvements as the season begins to end. The will be the fourth time this year Melcher-Dallas will compete with their fellow Marion County foe.

The meet will Begin at the Pleasantville Golf and Country Club at 2:00 PM.
