Marion County is approaching 10,000 residents fully vaccinated for COVID-19, according to the State of Iowa Coronavirus Database. In total, 9,932 local individuals have completed a two-shot series or received the one-dose Johnson and Johnson shot, with an additional 2,481 starting either the Pfizer or Moderna process. In total, 28 new positive cases have been reported in the past week, with 50 infections considered active by the Iowa Department of Public Health. Two residents are hospitalized with COVID-19.
