PCM Girls Golf Finish Sixth in Heart of Iowa Conference Tournament

PCM’s girls golf squad finished sixth in the Heart of Iowa Conference Tournament at Lincoln Valley Golf Course in State Center.

The Mustangs’ low golfer of the meet came from Eleigh Davis, who shot a 111, including a 54 on the back nine. Riley Johannes scored 121, good enough for second for PCM. Rounding out the scoring was Tori Peterson and Deanna McHargue with scores of 136 and 159, respectively.

PCM will have more than a full week off before competing in their next meet, which is next Friday at the Colfax Country Club.

PCM Coed Track Has Heart of Iowa Conference Tournament at Home

Both of PCM’s track squads’ regular season will start to come to an end as they have their Heart of Iowa Conference Tournament on their home track today.

The Mustangs’ boys are coming off finishing at the top of their home meet last Thursday, placing 13 points ahead of Pleasantville with a score of 173. PCM finished with ten top-two finishes total, including two second-place finishes from Jacob VanWinkle.

PCM’s girls are coming off finishing tenth in their last meet which was at Carlisle. The Mustangs had 33 total points. The lone first-place finish in their last meet came from Drake Relays Qualifier Margo Chipps, who topped the 100 Shuttle Hurdle.

The meet will begin at PCM High School at 4:00 PM.
