Melcher-Dallas’ track squads will be back in action for their next meet as they travel to Newton with fellow Marion County foe Pleasantville.

Both Saints’ squads came off competing in the Bluegrass Conference Tournament at Lamoni Tuesday. The boys finished with a total of 42 points, placing seventh. Melcher-Dallas had just one first-place finish, which came in the 1600 meter medley relay. The relay was run by Steven and Ryan Krpan, Evan Putz, and Logan Godfrey.

The Saints’ girls finished sixth in the Bluegrass Conference Tournament with a total of 48.5 points. Melcher-Dallas had two teammates finish in the top two in the shot put. Haley Godfrey was first with 34’5.5” and Grace Overgaard was second with 32’11”.

The meet will begin at Newton at 4:30 PM.
