In a shortened make-up meet to end the regular season, the Pella boys golf team placed 2nd and the Eagles 6th at the Grinnell Invitational Wednesday.

Over nine holes, the Dutch finished with a team score of 159 and Pella Christian at 184. Meet medalist was Will Simpson, who shot three-under 32 to earn the top spot among individuals. AJ Hoekstra and Thomas Tangen each shot 42 and Ayden Gordon 43 to round out Pella’s score sheet. Gabe Huisken paced P.C. with 43, Kyle Gao shot 44, Isaiah Breems carded a 48, and Caleb Van Arendonk shot 49.

The high school boys golf postseason begins Monday with the Little Hawkeye Conference championship meet at Newton.
