Pleasantville Boys Golf Finish 3rd at Nodaway Valley
At the Nodaway Valley Invitational, Pleasantville’s boys’ golf squad finished third behind conference opponent ACGC and Winterset.
The Trojans finished with a total score of 441 overall, and had all athletes score lower than 100. Ryder Thill and Carter Metcalf finished tied for the low golfer in the meet with a score of 85. Jaxx Lovell finished second on the Trojans with an 86. Jake Hiemstra shot an 88 and Carter Ollom shot a 97.
Pleasantville’s next meet will be Saturday morning when they travel to the Colfax Country Club. The meet will begin at 9:00 AM.
Pleasantville Boys 3rd, Girls 4th at Newton
Pleasantville’s track squads competed in the Newton Invitational Thursday as the boys finished third while the girls finished fourth.
The Trojans’ boys finished with 132 points, placing behind the host and Lynnville-Sully. Pleasantville had three first-place finishes, including two individual and one team events. Bristol Huyck finished first in the long jump and Matthew Kauffman topped the shot put. The Trojans also finished first in the 4×800 meter relay.
Pleasantville’s girls finished with a total of 98 points, placing behind the host, Lynnville-Sully and Colfax-Mingo. The Trojans had one first-place finish in the meet, which came from Kaylee Hodenfield. Hodenfield had a length of 35’5”.
Pleasantville’s boys’ final meet of the season will be Monday when they travel to Nodaway Valley. The Trojans’ girls will have their final meet on Monday when they go to Martensdale-St. Mary’s.
