Pleasantville Boys Golf Finishes Third at Colfax-Mingo

In their final meet of the regular season, Pleasantville’s boys’ golf squad finished third in the Colfax-Mingo Boys Invitational Saturday.

The Trojans finished with a score of 407, placing behind Newton and PCM. On a chilly, overcast Saturday, Jake Hiemstra was the low scorer for Pleasantville, finishing with a 94. Jaxx Lovell finished second on the Trojans with a score of 98. Ryder Thill rounded out the top three with a score of 104. This meet completes the regular season for Pleasantville.

Pleasantville will have sectional playoff action Friday at Bloomfield Golf Course in Davis County. The meet will begin at 4:00 PM.

Pleasantville Girls Track Finishes Season at Martensdale-St. Mary’s

After finishing fourth in the Cardinal Relays at Newton Thursday, Pleasantville’s girls’ track squad will finish the regular season with a meet at Martensdale-St. Mary’s Monday.

The Trojans’ theme for the season is youth, and they look to end the regular season with a strong finish before district playoffs begin. Pleasantville will be competing with a few West Central Conference opponents including three of the top four finishers in the WCAC Meet at Van Meter Tuesday. The conference opponents include Van Meter, Panorama, Madrid, Interstate-35, and West Central Valley.

The meet will begin at Martensdale-St. Mary’s High School at 4:30 PM.

Pleasantville Boys Track Finishes Season at Nodaway Valley

After finishing third in the Cardinal Relays at Newton Thursday, Pleasantville’s boys’ track squad will finish the regular season with a meet at Nodaway Valley Monday.

The Trojans had a lot of bright spots throughout the 2021 season, even with more than half of the team never running in a high school track meet before this year. Pleasantville will be competing with a couple of fellow West Central Conference opponents including Ogden and Interstate-35. The Trojans will look to end with a high finish before getting ready for district playoff action Thursday.

The meet will begin at Nodaway Valley High School Monday at 4:30 PM.
