A Knoxville man faces felony drug charges after a traffic stop Monday. At 2:48 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 14 and Madison Street, officers stopped 28-year-old Cannon Jay Brown. It was known to officers that Brown had a suspended license and active warrants. The officers noticed drug paraphernalia in plain sight, and requested a search warrant.

Upon approval of the warrant, officers located varius drug paraphernalia, marijuana, THC cartridges, a crystalline substance which tested positive for methamphetamine, wax/shatter, and U.S. currency.

Brown was arrested and placed in the Marion County Jail. He faces charges of possession of controlled substance third or subsequent offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and drug tax stamp violations. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 20th. Bond is set at $12,000.
