The Joel Tonda Tennis Courts will be busy for the third straight day, as the Class 1A boys team district gets underway. The Panthers will be hosting Albia, Chariton, Grinnell, Oskaloosa, Pella, Pella Christian and South Tama. Panthers Coach Perry Bell tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, Pella is a heavy favorite but hopes his guys can put themselves in position to have a shot at moving on.

Bell:
“Pella alone, you don’t have to say much more. We’ve been to other parts of the state and talked about other teams in those areas. We’ll have our hands full and so will everyone else when they come here on Wednesday.”

The top three teams will advance with the district champion moving on to the sub state, the runner-up and third place teams will advance to the preliminary sub state.
