The Tulip City high schools were recognized by the Iowa High School Musical Theatre Awards for their performances in 2020-21.

Pella Christian High School earned the highest possible recognition, continuing a tradition of excellence in the competition. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat earned “Outstanding Musical Production.” The show on Eagle Lane also earned Outstanding Ensemble.

Special Recognition for Featured Ensemble (One of Two Chosen): Morgan Meinders, Angela Rooda and Alicia Van Kooten as Narrators

Pella High School theater department will participate in the showcase for the first time, in honor of the school’s achievements for its March production of The Addams Family.

Hannah Tschetter will perform an excerpt from her award-winning role as Morticia in The Addams Family.

In addition, Ryder Bates will exhibit his award-winning work as Sound Designer/Sound Board Operator as part of the showcase’s online Technical and Creative Achievement Gallery.

Pella High School will also be recognized with the following awards and honors:
