The Pella School Board reviewed the district’s facility plan at a work session this week. Superintendent Greg Ebeling says a list of prioritized projects first developed in 2019 was brought back before the board, with several key initiatives in the works, including:

– Additional classrooms and storage at Jefferson Intermediate School
– A New Early Childhood Center to expand preschool options
– Classroom remodeling at the Pella Middle School
– HVAC System Upgrades at Pella High School, including expansion of air conditioning to the gymnasiums
– Athletic facilities, including possible new tennis courts and a resurfacing of the track and football turf

No project list was formalized, but Ebeling says those potential items are the highest priority as the board develops a potential bond vote in the coming months. Hear more about the latest in the Pella Community School District on today’s Let’s Talk Pella.
