The Knoxville senior class Baccalaureate will be held Sunday, May 16th at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center. It’s a spiritual ceremony to bridge the gap between high school and post-graduation plans. Senior Tara Uitermarkt is one of the organizers, and looks forward to coming together with the class to send everyone off to life’s endeavors.
“I think this event is important because as we grow up, we become different in spirituality. It’s important that we have this event because it’s a strengthening send-off. When we’re praying, coming together and including Christ, that’s when the true encouragement happens. It’s exactly what we need in order to go off into the world and do good.”
Knoxville High School Baccalaureate begins at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 16th at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center, and is open to the public. Hear more on today’s In Depth.
