Simpson College’s Spencer Moon will be making the trip to Greensboro, North Carolina after qualifying for the NCAA Division III Championships with the 10th fastest time in the country in the 5,000 meter run. Moon is the first distance runner for the Storm men to qualify since Matt Chance punched his ticket in 1996, which resulted in him finishing runner-up in 5,000 meters. Simpson last sent competitors to the championships in 2018 when Jordan Coughenor and Dylan Kalinay participated. The championships will be held May 27-29 in Greensboro, N.C. hosted at North Carolina A&T State University’s Irwin Belk Track.
