Several Memorial Day ceremonies will take place throughout Marion County this week and weekend. On Friday, a flag-raising ceremony and memorial tribute. will be held at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville at 7:00 a.m.

The American Legion Van Veen-Van Hemert Post 89 will hold a Memorial Day Service on Sunday at 2:00pm in the Memorial Building in Pella. The guest speaker will be State Representative Dustin Hite.

There will be a Memorial Day service on Monday, May 31st at Peoria Cemetery at 9:00a.m. The speaker will be Rev. Mike Shover.

Bellefontaine Cemetery in Tracy will host a service at 10:00 a.m. Monday, also with guest speaker Dustin Hite.

A service will also be held at the Columbia Cemetery Monday at 10:00 a.m. under the oak tree inside the cemetery entrance.
