In total, 12,082 Marion County residents are now fully vaccinated for COVID-19, according to the State of Iowa Coronavirus Database. An additional 1,357 have received the first shot in either the Pfizer or Moderna series. As of Monday, no new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Marion County since May 20th. A 76th death attributed to the virus since the beginning of the outbreak was reported on May 19th — the first since April 2nd. No Marion County residents have been hospitalized for COVID in a week.
