Twin Cedars had a good opening week on the diamonds as the baseball team went 3-1 and the softball team went 5-3.
Kade Dunkin and Dallas Smith led the charge for the Sabers at the plate in the opening week. Dunkin had a .455 batting average and scored six runs. Smith posted a .357 batting average with a pair of RBI’s. Devin Arkema was fantastic on the mound as he went 2-0 and didn’t allow a run in his two starts.
Grace Bailey did it all for Twin Cedars in the season’s opening week as she had a .480 batting average with three home runs, while also starting six games as a pitcher and going 3-3 in those starts. Chloe Swank and Julian French combined to contribute 19 of the team’s 53 RBIs.
Twin Cedars kicks off the second week of the summer seasons on the road at Moravia tonight. Both games for the Sabers baseball and softball teams are scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
