Melcher-Dallas’ baseball and softball squads got victories over Mormon Trail as the baseball team won 4-1 while the softball team shut out Mormon Trail 16-0.

The Saints’ baseball squad came away with the victory thanks to a quality performance from Ryan Krpan. Krpan went two for four with a double and two RBIs. He also pitched 6.2 innings and allowed just one run on four hits and struck out seven. The win brings Melcher-Dallas to 3-2 on the season.

The Saints’ softball squad shut out and no-hit Mormon Trail in three quick innings. Kynser Reed led the way hitting as she finished three for three with a double and four RBIs. Haley Godfrey finished two for three with two doubles, three runs scored and two RBIs. BrieAnna Remster pitched three innings of no-hit softball while going two for three with a double. The win puts the Saints at 7-2 on the season.

Melcher-Dallas’ baseball squad will battle with Marion County foe Pleasantville tonight at home at 7:00 PM. The Saints’ softball squad will be back in action Thursday with Moulton-Udell.
