Melcher-Dallas’ baseball and softball squads came away victorious against Moulton-Udell Thursday night, as both teams shut out the Eagles by scores of 5-0 and 14-0, respectively.

The Saints’ baseball squad came away with the victory thanks to a one-hit shutout from Steven Krpan and Cole Metz. Krpan pitched six innings and struck out 11. He also finished three for four on the night with three singles. Max Enfield finished two for three with an RBI and two stolen bases in the victory.

The Saints’ softball squad needed just two and a half innings to knock off the Eagles. BrieAnna Remster continues to impress as she pitched another perfect game and went two for three with a home run and three RBIs. Paetyn Anderson finished with two hits, including an RBI triple. This is the Saints’ third consecutive shutout.

The Saints’ softball squad will be back in action today for a tournament at Murray, with their first game against conference foe Moravia. Melcher-Dallas’ baseball squad will have the weekend off before their next game, which is Monday at Cardinal.
