
Twin Cedars summer sports played host to different schools Thursday as softball defeated Seymour 9-0, while the baseball team fell to Chariton 10-2.
Twin Cedars softball played their first game after falling out of the Class 1A rankings, and cruised to an easy victory. Grace Bailey continued her early season dominance against Seymour as she went 2-2 with a pair of triples and pitched a complete game shutout with eight strikeouts. Kisha Reed added three RBIs for Twin Cedars. Head Coach Zack Dunkin said it’s been great to see Grace Bailey’s hard work paying off this season.
The baseball team hosted Chariton Thursday Night, and the Sabers fell to the Chargers 10-2. The loss dropped Twin Cedars to a 3-3 record.
Twin Cedars baseball and softball travel to Humeston tonight where they will both take on Mormon Trail. The baseball game starts at 5:30 followed by the softball game at 7:30.
