The Marion County Historical Society’s Pioneer Days continues today at Marion County Park. Society President Craig Agan says the Historical Village has many buildings available to tour, each with its own story.
“The depot, which was transported here from Bussey, is an original old depot from the early days of train transportation. The Pleasant Ridge School has all the old-school desks, and everything from a country school in those days. All the buildings are full of artifacts. The general store has things that pertain to that. The Valley Chapel has beautiful hand-made pews that were from walnut lumber cut in a rural sawmill by Marysville. We think people will find it to be interesting.”
