The Indianola Mayor’s Youth Council and Indianola Parks and Rec are hosting Bike Fest 2021: Pedal Palooza! later this month, an event promoting bicycle safety and fun for Indianola youth. Karley Smith with the Indianola Mayor’s Youth Council tells KNIA News the event will include educational events such as how to cross a street safely and the importance of helmets and other safety equipment, as well as prizes given out throughout the event. Bike Fest 2021 will take place at Irving Elementary on Saturday, June 19th from 10am to noon.
