One of the four organizations recognized by the PACE Alliance for their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic is aiming to get closer to normal this year with their support of parents locally.

Karen Eischen with PACE says Families First of Pella received the Standing Ovation award for how they navigated challenges of educating and helping families with a lack of in-person options available for traditional classes and events.

Executive Director of Families First of Pella Allison Kerndt says they aim to return to more of their traditional programs coming up this fall as social distancing guidelines ease, which includes their next semester of parenting classes.
