The Twin Cedars baseball team dropped the only game they played this week to Ankeny Christian. Twin Cedars Softball went 2-1 in their three games.
With the loss Tuesday night Twin Cedars dropped to 4-4 this season on the baseball diamond. The Sabers sit squarely in the middle of the Bluegrass Conference standings with a 4-3 conference record. The Sabers will have some key matchups in Conference play this week that could benefit them as they try to crack into the top half of the Bluegrass once again.
Twin Cedars softball has had little rest time since opening day, playing 18 games in 16 days. The Sabers are currently tied with Melcher-Dallas for the top spot in the Bluegrass Conference with a 7-1 record. Twin Cedars holds a 13-5 overall record. They will look to add a pair of wins this week against two teams in the middle of the pack in the conference.
Twin Cedars summer sports are back in action tonight as Moulton-Udell comes to town. The baseball game begins first tonight at 5:30, followed by the softball game at 7:30 p.m.
