Carson Macedo used a restart with three laps left to power by Kerry Madsen and win his first career 410 feature race at the Knoxville Raceway on Friday night during the World of Outlaws race as heard live on KNIA. Madsen was running away with the lead when slicing through lapped traffic when a yellow came out for a spin in turn three. That set up Macedo’s winning move. He told KNIA/KRLS Sports in victory lane Knoxville is a tough place to win…and it was gratifying to finally win a World of Outlaws race at the half mile…

Macedo:
“It’s cool to win here, I feel like I’ve been really good here at most Outlaws races. It makes it a little thought to win and I’m glad I picked up the win, the track is so technical and it’s a chess game here at Knoxville and I thought I performed well and that’s what it takes to win here.”

Logan Schuchart may have been the fastest car at the checkered flag, but just ran out of laps trying to catch Macedo and settled for 2nd while Madsen faded to 3rd. Devin Kline led all 15 laps of the Pro Sprints Race to capture his 13th career win at the Knoxville Raceway. Tonight is night two of the World of Outlaws at Knoxville.
