The Pella Police Department hosted a three-on-three basketball tournament for first responders this past weekend. Captain Paul Haase says eight teams participated and the event raised $1,500 for the Iowa Concerns of Police Survivors Organization.

Groups from Pella Community Ambulance, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol Capitol Police, Meskwaki Nation Police Department, Pella Police Department, Knoxville Police Department, Waukee Police Department, and Melcher Dallas Police Department competed.
