The Knoxville Area Community Theatre will hold auditions for its fall production of Shrek the Musical on Sunday, July 11th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday, July 12th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Call-backs will be Tuesday, July 13th. All auditions and call-backs will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Director Marty Adkins tells KNIA/KRLS News that this is a great opportunity for interested individuals to explore their personality and work as a team.
“When you do theatre, you kind of step out of your own personality and step into the personality of your character. It’s a great way for people of all ages, especially for kids, to learn something about themselves and working as a team, exploring a character and people who are different from themselves. There are a lot of good things that come out of participation in theatre.”
Everyone ages 9+ are welcome to audition, and no prior theater experience is required. The show dates are November 4-7 at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center. More information and audition materials can be heard on an upcoming Let’s Talk Knoxville.
