Pleasantville’s softball squad continues to struggle as they failed to complete a comeback against Albia, losing 12-9.
The Trojans failed to come back after falling behind 11-4 and were never able to recover. Amber and Malorie McKinney finished three for five, with Malorie having a double. Pleasantville outhit Albia 17-16, but five errors and four unearned runs were the biggest difference in the game. The loss is Pleasantville’s third straight and they drop to 9-15.
The Trojans will be back in action today for a doubleheader with ACGC, which begins at 6:30 PM on the Pleasantville softball diamond.
