Pleasantville’s softball and baseball squads will be back in action today as they will go on the road for a West Central Conference Doubleheader at Madrid.
The Trojans’ baseball squad will look to extend their three-game winning streak after having their game at Collins-Maxwell suspended due to a severe thunderstorm warning Tuesday night. Pleasantville has won their last three conference games, including a doubleheader against ACGC and a shutout win over Earlham.
The Trojans’ softball squad is coming off one of the biggest upsets of the season, knocking off #7 in Class 2A Earlham Monday night. Pleasantville will look to go into the Ankeny Centennial tournament Saturday night. Coach Jan Haugen tells KNIA Sports that he is looking to get back to basics in order to win more games.
The baseball doubleheader will begin at 5:00 PM, while the softball doubleheader will begin at 5:30 PM at Madrid High School.
