A race bringing together the cross country teams of the Red Rock area will be part of Balloonfest activities. Pella Christian Cross Country Coach Mike Buchheit says the 9th annual Red Rock Balloonfest 5K returns on Saturday, July 10th at 8 a.m., this year moving to the Pella Sports Park. Buchheit says this year, a one mile run for kids has been added as well. Registration for the 5K is $25 for individuals and $10 per participant in the Kids’ Mile event, with the t-shirt guarantee deadline on Monday, June 28th. Families can register for $25 per the first three members and $15 per for the rest. Proceeds from the Red Rock Balloonfest 5K are split between the Pella, Knoxville, and Pella Christian Cross Country programs. Find registration information by clicking here.
