The Knoxville Hospital & Clinics Foundation is bringing back its annual 410 Dash on Saturday, August 14th to coincide with the Knoxville Nationals. This is a 4.1-mile run around the city, starting at Knoxville Raceway with a lap around the dirt oval. Director of Foundation and Public Relations Kevin Stittsworth says that this is an opportunity to get some exercise and support businesses during Knoxville’s biggest event of the year.
“The goal is to get people downtown. Anyone who wants to stick around for the Nationals Parade will be able to. There will be food trucks, Peace Tree will be serving some beverages, we have our local businesses who will have food as well. It’s going to be a great time.”
Registration costs $25 before July 23rd and $40 after. Proceeds will go toward KHC’s emergency room renovation and clinic expansion. Hear more about the KHC Foundation’s upcoming events on today’s Let’s Talk Knoxville.
