Ella Jahner of Pella was crowned as the 2021 Marion County Fair Queen Saturday evening at the contest held at the Marion County Extension Office. Jahner will preside at numerous activities throughout this year’s fair, and will compete in the State Fair Queen competition in August. Jahner says she looks forward to the opportunities this role presents.

“I’m so excited to represent Marion County, especially at the Iowa State Fair, and be someone kids can look up to. I can’t wait to meet so many people through this opportunity. Since I was a little girl, I always looked up to the fair queens, and I can’t wait to be that person for many more.”

Jahner emerged from a field of three candidates. Josephine Brooks of Knoxville was second runner-up, while Emily Sytsma of Pella Christian was first runner-up. The 2021 Marion County Fair runs July 16th-22nd.
